As teachers, it often feels like we are expected to work miracles. Big miracles! What is worse is that it often feels like we are expected to accomplish these miracles on our own. It is so important to remember that we are not alone in creating a success story for every child. We have our teammates, our support specialists, our administrators, our coaches, and countless members of PRS staff waiting in the wings to support us as needed. Yet we often forget the most powerful tool at our disposal when it comes to creating a success story for a child – Parents.
Let us instead presume that all parents want to be our partner and provide them as many opportunities as possible. Here are a few things you can try to ensure the door is open wide for all parents;

Create Opportunities to Connect
Jane D. Hull states, “At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents”. Let us be sure that we are providing every opportunity we can to help make this true for all students.
